Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RoomStudio ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use the app. RoomStudio is operated by Codexia. The app is designed to require as little data as possible. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal contact information to use the app.

1. Information We Process

RoomStudio works with an anonymous account that is created automatically on your device. We do not collect information that personally identifies you. The app processes the following limited data:

• Photos you provide — when you create a design, the photo you take or select is sent to our service and to our AI provider to generate your redesign. See Section 2 for exactly how photos are handled.
• Anonymous identifier — an anonymous account ID created on your device, used to operate the app and deliver your subscription. It is not linked to your real-world identity. Basic technical details such as your app version, language, platform, or time zone may be processed to run the service. We do not collect information that identifies you personally.
• Usage data — how many designs you have generated (a running total and a daily count), used to manage free and subscription limits and to operate the service.
• Subscription status — whether you have an active subscription and which plan, so the app can unlock RoomStudio Pro features. Purchases are processed by Apple and our payment provider; we do not receive or store your payment card details.
• App settings & your designs — preferences and the designs you generate are stored on your device so you can revisit them.
• Push notification token — if you enable notifications, a device token is used to deliver support replies. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

2. How Your Photos Are Handled

Generating a design requires processing the photo you provide. This is how it works:

• Your photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our service, and from there to our AI provider (Replicate) which runs the image-generation model.
• The photo is used only to generate your requested design. We do not keep a permanent copy of your uploaded photo on our servers after your design is generated.
• The generated design is returned to your device, where it is saved so you can view it later. Finished designs are stored on your device, not permanently on our servers.
• Please avoid including people's faces, documents, or other sensitive content in the photos you upload, as they will be sent to the AI provider for processing.

3. Third-Party Services

RoomStudio uses the following third-party services, which process limited data on our behalf under their own privacy policies:

• Replicate — runs the AI image-generation model on the photo you submit to produce your design.
• Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging) — anonymous account, usage and subscription data, and delivery of support notifications.
• RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management. RevenueCat processes an anonymous purchase identifier and subscription events to manage your entitlement; it does not receive your name or payment card details.
• Apple — App Store purchases and subscription billing.
• Hark — powers the in-app support chat so we can respond to your questions.

4. Advertising & Tracking

RoomStudio does not show ads and does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers and do not sell your data.

5. Support Messages

If you contact us through the in-app support feature or by email, we process the messages you send and your anonymous user ID so we can reply and provide support. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your messages.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep the limited data described above only as long as needed to operate the app and your subscription. Uploaded photos are not retained on our servers after your design is generated. The designs and settings on your device are removed when you delete the app. If you would like us to delete the anonymous account and usage data associated with your installation, contact us at the email below and we will assist you.

7. Children's Privacy

RoomStudio is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to certain processing. Since RoomStudio does not collect personal identifiers, we may need additional information to locate the anonymous data tied to your installation. Contact us using the details below to make a request.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
